Changelog
What's new
BotShark is actively maintained. This page tracks product updates — the same feed powers the in-app dashboard.
Improved
Ruleset v6 — a reply farm is templates, copies, or mismatch
A high reply ratio is not a farm on its own. The pack looks for templates, duplicate text, or a high mismatch rate. Checks that are not flagged do not lower the score.
Improved
Ruleset v7 — coordination ignores generic destinations
Shared-link checks no longer count the platform’s own media hosts, major news, or generic destinations. A rare destination still matters when several library accounts share it.
Improved
Ruleset v8 — posting rate alone stays below likely a bot
A high posting rate no longer puts an account in the top tiers by itself. The strongest rate checks need a second behavioural tell. Details on the methodology page.
Improved
Ruleset v12 — recent posting, not lifetime volume
The lifetime posting-rate check is retired. Reports describe recent posting only. Same likelihood meaning; see methodology for how rate checks work with the rest of the pack.
Improved
Marketing site page set
Public methodology, neutrality, use cases, FAQ, journalists, sample report, changelog, and extension pages.
New
Global progress tracker for single scans
On-demand scans appear in the bottom progress bar, persist across navigation, and link to the finished report.
New
Server-backed preferences and watchlists
User preferences, library watchlists, onboarding state, and insights now persist on the server — no more localStorage-only shortcuts.
